VLSI Design and Test Tools - projects include tools for hardware/software co-design, SoC design testing, and development of analog libraries.

Low Power/Alternative Power - projects range from tools for optimizing power consumption at the system level, to development of micro fuel cells.

Wired/Wireless Networks - projects include wireless transmitter and antenna design, network security devices, and technologies to extend the bandwidth of existing wired networks

Multimedia Algorithms and Cores - projects include encryption and compression technologies, error-resistant design methodologies, and IP cores.

Robotic Technologies - perception, vision, and sensing; data fusion; mapping and navigation; positioning; collaborative/cooperative behavior; systems integration; intelligent mobile power; composite materials; new concept prototypes; rehabilitation or assistive-living applications of these technologies.
