The Technology Collaborative is committed to making it easy and financially attractive to locate new chip design and research facilities in Southwestern Pennsylvania, as well as establish new local start-up companies developing SoC and related technologies for networking and multimedia applications.
TTC's Start-Up and Expansion Support Services program provides access to a number of financial incentive and business support packages to:
- Companies looking to establish new research and/or design centers
- Regional companies looking to expand their operations
- Start-up companies that plan to establish a new or expand their existing presence in the region
These "business friendly" packages, which can be tailored to meet the specific needs of our member companies, consist of a comprehensive range of start-up and expansion support services, including: incubation facilities, access and exposure to the regional investment community, invitations to networking events, and business support services (e.g., business plan consultation, company valuation, access to sources of capital, mentoring services).
Many of these services are provided through two TTC Start-Up and Expansion Support programs:
- Research/Design Center Starter Kit - targets companies outside the Southwestern Pennsylvania area that are looking to establish a research/design center in the region
- Jump Start - targets early-stage start-up companies in the region that need assistance with a wide range of business start-up, development, and support challenges
