TTC offers its members a valuable benefit—a full-service Talent Recruitment Program (TRP) to help companies locate the perfect person for each job. Best of all, members pay nothing extra for the recruiting service outside of membership dues. Our TRP services include technical and university recruiting; posting and screening internet career sites; representing member companies at job fairs; and coordinating internship and co-op programs.
By utilizing the Talent Recruitment Program, members can focus on their core businesses while our highly experienced technical recruiter focuses on selecting quality—not quantity—applicants for start-ups to interview. The program can be tailored to meet specific company needs, ranging from candidate searches to total management of the recruiting cycle.
The TRP helps members to attract technical experts such as design engineers and embedded software specialists. Our pool of candidates includes the 1,000-plus students who graduate from area universities each year with electrical engineering, computer engineering and computer science degrees. We also aggressively recruit professional engineers, especially those with ties to the area.
On average, the TRP helps to place 15 full-time employees with Pennsylvania companies each year. Since the inception of the program in 2002, over 75 positions have been filled—80 percent of which were engineers or technical workers. These positions pay employees a minimum of $70,000 annually—nearly double the mean salary in Pennsylvania. This income level benefits economic growth in the industry as well as the region. It’s crucial for Pennsylvania’s future to not only attract these companies, but also to provide them with the services and tools necessary for them to succeed.
